Most of you know when I need a break from the computer I spend my time at my craft desk. Lately I have been experimenting with Upcycling. I do love the idea of taking something headed for the landfill and turning it into something worthy of keeping or giving as a gift. Here is a picture of a really sweet gift card holder I made from a toilet paper tube.
The bottom is stapled shut, then the tube is covered with Scrapbook papers, fabric and lace. The gift card is placed in the top, then tied shut with a ribbon.
I must give credit to Denise Groves at the Speckled Feather Mercantile for the idea! If you are ever in New Castle, Colorado, be sure to stop by the shop to see what other projects we are working on.
