Welcome to Elyse Hutchinson DesignUPDATE: This site features my art and design work. I am not accepting new projects at this time. I thank all of my clients over the years who trusted me to help them succeed in their business.
You probably want to know a little more about me. So, let me introduce myself.
My educational background is in fine art with an emphasis on graphic design. I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Art degree from Kansas State University.
After graduation, I went to work at Pizza Hut’s World Headquarters in the Creative Services Department. After a few months I was offered a job at KJRH-2 in Tulsa designing for news and promotions. I loved the excitement and pace of the television industry. After a few years I moved to a bigger market and accepted a job at KMBC-TV9 in Kansas City.
While working at Channel 9, I designed and developed the station’s first website. I was then approached by the Cerner Corporation to come and work for their Virtual University. Always looking for a new challenge, I accepted the position and began designing interactive training materials, studying usability and user-interface design. This was an amazing job which allowed me to work from my home office in Colorado.
After 11 years I made the decision to work for myself and began Elyse Hutchinson Design. I love the wide variety of projects this has allowed me to work on, and the creative diversity it has given my portfolio of work.
In 2019 I accepted the position as Marketing/Graphic Design Specialist III at Grand River Health. I am enjoying being able to use my skills to help improve the health and wellbeing of my community.
I can’t begin to share the number of times I have been asked if my shop is a franchise. I believe it is all due to the modern and unique logo and supporting marketing designs that Elyse did for us. Working with her was so easy and seamless, and the choices/designs were beyond our imagination. Her talent is only surpassed by her customer service. I have recommended her to other businesses and will continue to do so. Her business and skills are nothing but top-notch.
